A touch of British style! The 2.4 was Jaguar's first smaller salon car since the end of the 1.5 and 2.5 litre cars in 1949. Launched in 1955 it was an immediate success and was produced until 1959. Its designation MkI followed its replacement, in October 1959, with the MkII series, but for contemporary literature it was “simply” the 2.4 litre.
