The Forges et Ateliers de Construction d’Eure-et-Loir (Facel) launched in 1954 in the manufacture of luxury cars with Chrysler V8 engines. Five years later a small sports car was produced with a French twin-shaft, then replaced by the Volvo and again later a 6-cylinder BMC. The Facels produced were about 3000 until 1965, the year of liquidation. The Facel 6 was the model that closed the history of this manufacturer: from 1964 to 1965 the “6” was built as a convertible and a 4-seater coupé.
