From the sale in 1975 to Peugeot until 1981 the new Citroen were few in number. By 1982, the BX was expected and Citroen produced a concept car for the 1981 Frankfurt Motor Show. Three years before the Renault Espace, the Xenia proposed the concept of a family minivan. The lines foreshadowed in some ways those of the future Xsara Picasso, while the interiors were typical of the brand's design: for example, some stylistic elements of the CX and also of the future BX were found.
