The new Belvedere was presented in 1957 and aroused keen curiosity and interest. The base engine was a 3.8-liter 6-cylinder that developed 132 horsepower, but other V8 engines were available on the more refined versions, some of which took the name of Fury. This generation of Belvedere remained in production from 1957 to 1959.
