The CJ7 was in practice a CJ5 with a longer wheelbase but always with two seats: the 7 lost a little in agility but improved in roominess. Among the most valuable versions were the Golden Eagle, immediately recognizable by the eagle on the bonnet and the gold-colored rims, and the Laredo, a more luxurious trim with many chrome details. The most desirable engine was the 5-liter V8, but the 4.2-liter straight-six was also interesting. Other engines were the 2.5-liter petrol and the 2.4-liter diesel. The CJ7 was produced from 1981 to 1986.
