At the 1999 Detroit Motor Show, Nissan presented a concept car, the 240Z, whose lines recalled the coupes of the seventies. For the production model, the 350Z (type Z33), the neo retro lines of the 240Z were not retained but the basic concept remained: a small front-engined coupe. Marketed in Japan and the United States since 2002 and in Europe since 2003, the 350Z had a 3498cc 280hp V6 engine, which then increased to 300 and finally 313 in later versions. Just about 150,000 units of the 350Z were produced.
