Presented in 1993 at the Geneva Motor Show, the Aston Martin Lagonda Vignale was a concept car built in two exemplars, plus a third car developed by Aston itself and heavily modified with a view to possible series production. The original two examples were based on a 1990 Lincoln Town Car chassis with a 4.6-liter Ford V8 engine developing 149 horsepower. The car never reached the production stage, as Ford had considered that the Lagonda brand's notoriety was limited to Great Britain.
