The BT20 was a modified and improved version of the BT19, with a longer wheelbase and a wider track. The first model was completed for Denis Hulme who drove it in the 1966 French GP. The BT20 did not have a very long career, with a total of 14 entries in 11 races. Soon the car was replaced by the BT24. Among the drivers who raced it, until 1968, there were Jack Brabham, Hulme, Guy Ligier and Silvio Moser.
