After World War II, Alvis continued the production of high-class and superior performance cars, capable of competing with the best British brands. The 2993cc 6-cylinder engine was continuously developed, from the first models of 1950 until 1967. The TD21 series, in production from 1958 to 1963, was one of the most successful and replaced the TC108 / G model. On the TD21 the 3-liter engine gave 115 HP at 4000 rpm.
