In 2010, during the sixth generation of the Golf, Volkswagen commercialized the third Golf R, which lost the initials R32, since the model was no longer equipped with the 3.2-liter V6 engine of the previous versions. The engine is in fact now a 2-litre 4-cylinder turbo, the same as the GTI but brought up to 270hp. Performance but also sobriety in style characterize the sixth generation Golf R, which will remain in production until 2012.
