To replace the 1000 Bialbero, Abarth developed the OT 1300, a completely new car that was presented at the Turin Motor Show in 1965. The engine, positioned at the rear, was a brand new twin cam, delivering 1289cc and 155hp. The Abarth OT 1300 was intended for competitions and obtained several significant class wins.
