The Autobianchi Primula was important for it was the first car of the Fiat group with a front wheel drive. Fiat had made useful tests before introducing FWD to their production. The Primula was also a pleasant car, with different bodywork configurations. The 1968 restyling brought a new version of the Coupé, now named Coupé S, with a modified tail and improved mechanicals.
