The BT24 was the Brabham F.1 model following the BT23B equipped with the Repco V8 Tasman; as compact as a Formula 2, the car did not have the necessary power to contrast the Lotus-Cosworth 49, but despite this, the BT24 had managed to achieve some important success since 1967. In 1968 the official team continued to use it sporadically and in the following season some chassis were sold to private teams. The drivers of the BT24 were Kurt Ahrens, Jack Brabham, Dan Gurney, Denny Hulme, Silvio Moser, Jochen Rindt and Sam Tingle.
