Launched in 1968, the discreet looking W114 and W115 series are the forerunners of the modern E series. Very reliable and well built, they were Mercedes' first true mid-range cars, distinct from upper class models. It was a small revolution for the German brand. The code W114 indicates the 6-cylinder engines, while the code W115 identifies the 4-cylinder engines.
