TECNOMODEL - BENETTON - F1 B190 FORD N 0 PRESS VERSION SEASON 1990

The Benetton B190 was ready for the third GP of the 1990 season, at Imola. Compared to the B189 / B189B, the car was easier to drive and also more reliable. Throughout the season Piquet and Nannini achieved good results: Piquet managed to win the last two GPs of the season, in Japan and Australia, while Nannini was second in Germany. Unfortunately Nannini was unable to finish the year due to his helicopter accident: he was replaced in the final two GPs by Roberto Moreno, who finished second in Japan. Benetton finished third in the constructors' championship behind McLaren and Ferrari. Piquet was third in the drivers' championship; Nannini finished 8th and Moreno 10th, thanks to his second place in the Japanese GP.
