In 1965 Ferrari prepared a special competition version of the 275 GTB. Named 275 GTB / C, the car debuted at the Targa Florio and also raced in the 1000km of the Nurburgring, entered in both races in the prototype category as the sports commission had initially refused the GT homologation. Homologation that came in any case on the eve of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where the 275 GTB / C was entered by Ecurie Francorchamps and finished third overall and first in GT with Mairesse and "Beurlys". Of this model it seems that no more than two units were built.
