The 1974 Ferrari 312 B3 was the car with which Niki Lauda, teammate of Clay Regazzoni, began to stand out. Unfortunately, that season, Scuderia Ferrari had to surrender to Emerson Fittipaldi's McLaren, also due to wrong strategic choices. The 312 B3 was very competitive and took two victories with Lauda (Spain and Holland) and one with Regazzoni (Germany). The car's loss of competitiveness caused the Swiss driver to lose the title in the last race of the season, at Watkins Glen.
Arriving at Ferrari in 1974, Niki Lauda immediately stood out, even though that year the performances of his teammate Regazzoni were superior. In Spain, at Jarama, Lauda achieved the first victory of his career, setting the fastest lap and starting from pole position.
