Long awaited, in 1989 the 16-valve engine version of the Lancia Delta Integrale was presented. The 1995cc 4-cylinder engine now gave 200 horsepower at 5500 rpm. The new engine mounted on the 16V derived from that of the Thema Turbo 16V. Externally the Delta 16V was distinguished from the previous 8V by the showy hump on the hood. The declared maximum speed was 220 km / h against 215 of the previous model.
