Presented at the 1978 Geneva Motor Show, this spider version of the Range was designed by Pininfarina and came as a proposal for a mass production. The solution of the upright-rollbar tilted in the opposite direction to the windshield was quite original as on the Ferrari 308 GTS. This configuration allowed the easy assembly of two rigid elements that transformed the car into a coupé. The rear window was made of vinyl, which could be opened with a zip. The Pininfarina Spider Gamma remained a one off.
