After a good second place in the 2001 24 Hours of Le Mans and a fourth in 2002, Bentley continued to focus on the goal of winning the 24 Hours. In 2003, a completely revamped car was presented, the Speed 8 Evo. The twin-turbo V8 engine was the only element that remained unchanged, but it had a displacement increased to 4 liters. The Speed 8 Evo managed to win at Le Mans 2003, with Capello, Kristensen and Smith.
