To lower production costs, the BMW Z4 shares numerous elements with the Toyota Supra. Marketed starting from 2018, the Z4, a two-seater spyder, has three mechanical variants, all designed by BMW: the two four-cylinder engines 20i (197 horsepower) and 30i (258 horsepower) and the 6-cylinder 40i (340 horsepower), rear-wheel drive. Only the less powerful engine is proposed with manual transmission, while the other two have an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
