Presented in January 1982, the Porsche 944 was an evolution of the 924. The displacement was 2479cc, with a power of 163 horsepower, which is almost forty more than the 924, but 14 less than the 924 Turbo. From an aesthetic point of view, the 944 was inspired by the 924 Carrera GT, from which it took the widened wheel arches. In the following years the 944 underwent some aesthetic updates and continued its journey even when the Turbo version was presented, in February 1985. In 1989 the displacement increased to 2.7 liters with a gain of a few horsepower; with 1990 the 944 went out of production.
