The first generation of the Corvette took some time to find commercial success, also thanks to the arrival of a very effective V8, with five power options, from 223 to 287 HP. But in 1957 Chevrolet was already engaged in the development of the second generation of the Corvette, which was marketed starting from 1963. The design was revolutionary and fascinating, as were the engines very interesting: the 253 HP V8 constituted the basis of the range, but three other versions were particularly appreciated: the L75 with 304 HP, the L76 with 345 HP and the L84 with mechanical injection Rochester with 365 HP. In 1966 it was the turn of the 427c.i V8. from 430HP. The race for power continued in the following years, until the arrival of the C3.
Welly, which is based in Hong Kong, began producing die-cast toy vehicles in 1979. The brand was characterized by a very varied range with different scales, but from the early 2000s it also began to deal with models for the collector market, always at various scales.
