A direct descendant of the 1936 model, the 170V is the first post-war Mercedes. Modest but very well built and with an affordable price, it enjoyed a wide diffusion. Equipped with a 1697cc inline 4-cylinder engine, the 170V received the 1767cc engine of the 170S, but weakened compared to that of the “S”. These latest versions were called 170SV.
