Introduced in 1992, the Renault Twingo owed its name to the contraction of three popular dances: twist, swing, tango. A fashionable, original but also very practical and functional car, the first series Twingo remained in production until 2007. Initially equipped with the old Cléon engine, in 1996 it received a more powerful engine and a whole series of improvements. Every two years, Renault made some changes to the engines and equipment. A first restlying was conducted in 1998, then a second in 2000. The very first versions and special series (Benetton, Kenzo, Elite, Initiale Paris…) are already quite coveted by collectors.
