In April 1997, at the New York Motor Show, Porsche presented the "S" version of the 993 Turbo. Initially marketed only in the United States, the 911 (993) Turbo S is presented in the configuration for the European market and for the rest of the world in Brussels in January 1998. If the American version develops 430 horsepower, the Turbo S for the other markets is stretched to 450, thanks to the WLS2 engine. The 993 Turbo S stands out on the outside for the Turbo II aerodynamic kit, for various bodywork details and for the particularly refined interior. Designed and built by the Porsche Exclusive department, the Turbo S was made in a limited edition and is now highly sought after by collectors.
