Designed by Neil Oatley and John Baldwin, the Lola-Force THL1 took part in the last three races of the 1985 F1 season. Although the manufacturer's name Lola appeared in the official registration, the THL1 was actually assembled by the Force (Formula One Race Car Engineering Ltd) whose warehouses were located near London. The entire team was financed by the American Haas, who was also involved in F. Indy. The car was equipped with the Hart 415T engine, waiting for the Duckworth-designed Ford turbo. Driven by Alan Jones and Patrick Tambay, the THL1 achieved eighth place in Spain in 1986 with Patrick Tambay as its best result.
