Arrows had an acceptable budget for the 1987 F1 season. The A10 was designed by Ross Brawn with very rational criteria. The engine was still the BMW 4-cylinder, but renamed Megatron, not too reliable and rather thirsty. New drivers, Cheever and Warwick, who would remain with Arrows until the end of 1989. The team finished in sixth place in the constructors' standings. For 1988, Arrows developed an evolved version, the A10B: the effort yielded a fourth place in the constructors' championship, the best final result Arrows had ever achieved up to that moment.
