For 2021 the Renault F1 team changes its name and becomes Alpine. The new car, signed A521, is not very different from the 2020 Renault RS20 except for some aerodynamic changes imposed by the regulations. The engine is the Renault RE21. Fernando Alonso is back to the Renault works, champion with Renault in 2004 and 2005, who is joined by Esteban Ocon, in his fifth season in F1.
