Entirely redesigned in 1967, the eighth generation DeVille already had some developments in 1968. To meet safety regulations, the bumpers were redesigned. The engine was increased to 7.7 liters, with an output of 375 horsepower. The DeVille was available in four configurations: Coupé, Sedan Hardtop, Sedan, Convertible. In 1968, DeVille even accounted for 77% of Cadillac's total sales.
