Even before the outbreak of the Great War, Ford of Detroit was trying to diversify its production, with factories in Europe, including Germany, France and Great Britain. In Great Britain, Ford had opened its factories in Trafford Park, Manchester, for the production of the model T. When the T stopped production, Ford England continued with the model A, a car with a 3.3 liter engine 24hp, in the catalog from 1928 to 1933, flanked, in the same years, by a version with a smaller engine (2 liters for 14.9hp), called AF.
