Designed by Colin Chapman and Mike Costin, the Formula 1 Vanwalls deployed starting from 1956 were also built using some parts of the cars of the two-year period 1954-1955. Between 1957 and 1958 the Vanwalls, financed by the British industrialist Guy Anthony Vandervell, managed to win nine world championship GPs and the 1958 constructors' title. Tony Brooks, Stirling Moss, Froilan Gonzalez, Mike Hawthorn, Stuart Lewis-Evans, Roy Salvadori, Harry Schell, Piero Taruffi and Maurice Trintignant drove Vanwall cars between 1956 and 1958.

Tecnomodel was appreciated in the past with high-level products, kits and assembled in 1:43 scale, and then adapted to the new needs of the market. Today the Tecnomodel catalog is focused on racing cars: F.1 cars, Sports Prototypes and so on. Recently, the production of 1:43 scale subjects has also been resumed.
