In 1921 Bentley introduced a 2996cc 4-cylinder engine, destined to be the basis of production until 1927. This engine achieved the successes at Le Mans that made the brand famous. Over 1620 examples of the 3-liter car were built in various configurations, with powers between 70 and 85 horsepower.
