At the 1963 24 Hours of Le Mans, Aston Martin brought three apparently identical cars: but if the DP215 was registered in the prototype category, the two DP214s had chassis numbers of the DB4 GT (0194 / R and 0195 / R) and were allowed in Gran Turismo. The two cars had to retire, and the 0194 / R was entered again in the 24 Hours of Le Mans the following year. These special “DPs” were used by Aston Martin as test cars, to be used in high-level competitions. The series began in 1962, with the DP212 entering the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Tecnomodel, a historic brand of Italian artisan model making, is today a manufacturer of excellent quality models, in 1:18 and 1:43 scale, manufactured in China. Tecnomodel was appreciated in the past with high-level products, kits and assembled in 1:43 scale, and then adapted to the new needs of the market. Today the Tecnomodel catalog is focused on racing cars: F.1 cars, Sports Prototypes and so on. Recently, the production of 1:43 scale subjects has also been resumed.
