On the basis of the BMW 3-Series model E21, the tuner-builder Alpina created two of their special versions: the B6 and the C1. The C1, produced from April 1980 tp July 1983, was derived from the 323i with a 2316cc engine (6-cylinder in-line, type M20). Produced in 462 units, the C1 had a power of 170 horsepower, which allowed acceleration from 0 to 100 / km in less than eight seconds and a top speed of 208 km / h.
