With the new generation of the Continental GT, presented in September 2017 and marketed starting from November of the same year, the return of the Speed version was expected, which however was made to wait until the summer of 2021. The Speed is equipped with a powerful W12 (in fact two VR6s united) capable of 659hp at 5000 rpm, which allows this coupe based on the shortened platform of the Porsche Panamera to go from 0 to 100km / h in 3.6 "and reach a top speed of 335 km / h. The traction is all-wheel and the gearbox is an 8-speed robotic double clutch. This version replaced the “base” W12, while the standard model remains the GT V8 with the 4-liter 550hp engine.
